HAPPY VALENTINES
Friendship is one of the best gifts life can give you. You spend quality time together, learn valuable lessons from one another and ultimately become a better person. During Valentine's Day, it’s important to celebrate all forms of love, especially friendship. This February 14, you can spend time with your besties laughing over cocktails, watching (and re-watching) your favorite romantic comedies, or even trying out this cookie recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Butter, softened
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 1/2 Cups Unbleached Flour (add more if needed)
- 3/4 Cup White Sugar
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/2 Cup of Mini Chocolate Chips
- 1 1/2 Cup of M&Ms (Divided)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine butter, eggs, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
- Add in flour, white sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. (If your dough seems too "wet" or you like dense cookies, add a little more flour 1 Tablespoon at a time).
- Slowly fold in chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of M&Ms (I like to keep some for after the cookies are baked).
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, create 1” balls of dough and place them 2” apart on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the center starts to brown.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
*Recipe yields about 36 cookies.
Notes
Add additional flour a Tablespoon at a time for thicker cookies.
Don't forget to use Mini Chocolate Chips for the best results.
